Sydney Roosters delivers the NRL CareerWise program to all ages, from elite juniors (U16s and U18s), State Cup, National Youth Competition (NYC) and NRL Players.
The NRL CareerWise program helps players engage in work, study, work experience, volunteer work and networking that will help them make a smooth transition from professional athlete to professional something else.
In 2015, Sydney Roosters players were studying or working across a range of industries, including: Property Development, Logistics, Building and Construction, Education, Fitness, Accounting, Graphic Design, Community Development, Marketing, Sport Science, Sport and Recreation and more.
We need your help!
Sydney Roosters wants to hear from businesses that may have suitable work opportunities for our National Youth Competition (NYC) squad. These work opportunities could include:
- Casual work
- Full-time work
- Work experience
All NYC players need to work or study a minimum of 24 hours per week to be eligible to play, and all compulsory training sessions are outside the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Due to playing commitments during season, we are particularly looking for employers that can offer flexibility. In return, you’ll gain an employee that is:
- And knows how to work hard to achieve success!
Our new NYC squad for 2016 are interested in exploring a range of career areas, whilst others are looking for just some casual work over summer before they commence study in 2016.
If you have suitable work opportunities for these players, please email Narelle Hess, Career Coach – firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact details.
