G'day Guys,
What a week it has been and I can still you the disappointment hasn't quite left yet.
It was a tough day for us all but there were some encouraging signs in the match and they are the positive elements we are going to take out of the match.
That being said I can confidently say it is the toughest loss I have ever experienced.
Everyone ripped in and didn't hold back during the game so to lose they we way we did was heartbreaking.
On a personal note I was pretty relaxed on game day, my girlfriend's family had come down from Wagga Wagga so we jet chilled out and had breakfast and then got to the ground ready to soak up the experience.
One nice element of the day is the tradition of walking out on to a field with a youngster.
I asked my little fella if he wanted to hold my hand on the way out and he said no, but as soon as we got to the edge of the tunnel and he saw 40,000 screaming fans he was quick to grab my hand!
The dressing room after the match was completely silent. There was not a noise to be heard at all which really was a sign of how much we were all hurting.
After the match we went back to the Leagues Club to see all the fans. It is always great to see people turn up win or loss and know they are there to support us for the whole season.
All the fans were quite encouraging back at Bondi which is something we all appreciated.
When we left the Leagues Club it was straight to bed for me and I has a massive sleep.
We all have the weekend off now so I am going to head down the coast with the girlfriend for a couple of days just to kick back, relax, do a bit of surfing and recharge the batteries so all focus can be on our big game with the Knights next weekend.
See you next week!
