The Steggles Charity Nest has been operating since 2002 and is more than a fund raising initiative.
In the 2010 NRL season for every wining point the Roosters won by, Steggles donated $1000 and the Roosters donated $250 to the Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest, contributing over $400,000 to Australian children’s charities!
This resulted in upgrades to therapy and diagnostic rooms for Autism South Australia, assisting in the purchase of a second BK117 rescue helicopter for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and as well as the purchase an Ear, Nose and Throat Operating Stack for the Princess Margaret Children’s Hospital in Western Australia.
This season we are proud to announce Steggles will continue to donate $1000 for every point the Roosters win by, $1000 for every Toyota Cup win and $250 per point from the Sydney Roosters. The Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest will include the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia, Lifestart, and Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane and we are delighted to introduce a new charity to our nest - Save Our Sons.
