The Sydney Roosters have secured the services of young English up-and-coming fullback Curtis Naughton.

Naughton sought and was granted an early release from the Bradford Bulls in order to join his mother who has immigrated to Australia, and with a number of clubs keen to secure his services, the Roosters have signed him for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

The 18 year-old Bradford Bulls junior progressed through the clubs ranks and made an impressive Super League debut during the Bulls final round win against the Huddersfield Giants last September.

Roosters recruitment manager, Peter OSullivan, said: Its great that Curtis has moved to Australia to pursue his dream.

The footage Ive seen of Curtis warranted he be given the chance to test himself over the next two seasons. He is fast and elusive and we are all looking forward to watching him develop on and away from the field in the coming years, said OSullivan.

Naughton will officially join the Roosters when the clubs NYC team begins pre-season training later this month.
