Jake Friend will undergo surgery this Off-Season after it was discovered that the Vice-Captain had suffered a cartilage tear in his right shoulder, following our final match of the 2014 season against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The hooker faces a full shoulder reconstruction after scans revealed the tear and following consultation with Roosters Medical Staff, Friend has opted to go under the knife in order to be full prepared and fit for the 2015 NRL season.

Friend is expected to return to full training, alongside the rest of the Squad, in February 2015.

Any further updates on Friend will be provided as they come to hand.
