The Sydney Roosters extend their condolences to the family and friends of Nancy Burfoot, who passed away last Sunday.

One of the Club’s oldest Members, 92-year-old Nancy was a Sydney Roosters Member for 28 years and an avid supporter of the Club for even longer.

A familiar face among Roosters players, coaches, staff, Members and supporters Nancy’s passion for her team was known to all, and she was a regular sight among Members at Roosters Home Games, renewing the same seat for a number of years – Bay 13, Row DD, seat 23.

Ever-dedicated, Nancy would travel to Roosters games at Moore Park by bus and train from her home in Fairfield, until her health deteriorated earlier this year.

Always generous with her time, Nancy also represented the Roosters in the NRL’s Membership campaign that ran on television and in print over the last year.

It is always sad when we lose supporters who have played such a big role in our tradition. A passionate Member and supporter, Nancy will be sadly missed but always remembered.

Funeral details will be advised, once they have been confirmed.
