The Sydney Roosters have today finalised their investigation into an incident involving Michael Jennings last Friday night.

In addition to being stood down for one match, the Sydney Roosters together with the NSWRL and NRL Integrity Unit, have today issued Jennings with a $20,000 fine ($10,000 suspended).

“An important member of our Club, Michael has shown genuine remorse for breaching the Club’s standards,” said Sydney Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, Brian Canavan.

“I’m disappointed in Michael because he hasn’t lived up to the expectations that I have of NSW State of Origin players, and that the team sets for themselves. The NSWRL supports the action of the Roosters,” said NSW Blues coach, Laurie Daley.

The Sydney Roosters will be making no further comment on the matter.
