In James Maloney’s third season with the Roosters, he was a consistent performer that never shied away from the tough moments.

In some cases he even thrived during the difficult moments, which was shown in the performances he lifted in when Captain Mitchell Pearce was injured at the back end of the year.

Maloney finished as the second highest point scorer at the end of the regular season, as well as finishing third in try-assists.

Jackson Hastings was lucky enough to start in the halves alongside Maloney six times this season, which was no doubt valuable to the youngster who will look to fill Maloney’s shoes in 2016.
