Four players from the Roosters first grade squad spoke to the media this afternoon to cover a range of topics ahead of the Round 9 clash with the Newcastle Knights.

Aidan Guerra, Kane Evans, Sam Moa and Dylan Napa weighed in on the players laying down debate and the return of a couple key players.

Guerra is thrilled to have Mitchell Pearce back in the mix this weekend, and feels his time away from the football field did more good than harm.

"You can tell that he's hurting, but he's coming back a clearer person," he said during an all-in media opportunity.

"He's had time to work on himself, so we'll wait and see.

"Let his footy do the talking."
