The Roosters have lost a tough battle at AAMI Park to the Storm on Saturday night, going down 10-26.

The game started in ideal fashion for the Roosters, taking advantage of a Storm knock on to get down the other end and claim the first four-pointer of the night.

Blake Ferguson would be the first in for the night, on the back of a nice kick from Pearce for the fullback to collect and put down between the uprights.

Just ten minutes later the Storm would strike back, after Blake Ferguson couldn’t take the high ball from Cooper Cronk and Dale Finucane executed in the following set.

The Storm would be the next to score and this time through Cooper Cronk, on the back of a well weighted grubber kick from Blake Green.

Minutes later the Storm made it an eight-point game after receiving a penalty right in front of the uprights.

For the most part, the second half was back-and-forth football with both sides giving little space to play attacking football.

With fifteen minutes to go in the half though, Kevin Proctor was given a nice ball to find his way over just wide of the uprights to make it a fourteen-point game.

Tohu Harris scored in the closing minutes of the game to take it out of reach for the Roosters.

Shaun Kenny-Dowall scored in the final minute for the Roosters to improve the scoreline for his team.
