The Roosters made it four in a row on Thursday night after taking down the Brisbane Broncos 38-24 in the Holden Cup.
They would be the first to post points on the board, after a nice grubber kick was collected by Sitili Tupouniua on the left edge.
The Broncos hit straight back though through fullback Corey Allan after he collected a kick from his winger to score.
After being forced to defend their goal-line for a large portion of the first half, the Broncos would eventually find a gap through Gehamat Shibasaki to make it an eight point game.
With time coming to a close in the first half, Jackson Hastings would bring his side within two points after delivering a perfect short ball to Jarrett Boland to put him over just shy of the half time siren.
The momentum would carry on into the second half for the Roosters, with Hastings again throwing the sort pass, only this time it was for Ryan King to put him over.
Grant Garvey would be next to score, with his signature dart-out-of-dummy-half move putting him over just wide of the uprights.
The Roosters weren’t looking likely to slow down anytime soon, and would prove that when Poasa Faamausili crashed his way over between the uprights.
Some flashy backline play just minutes later would result in Jarred Anderson going over for the Roosters to make it a comfortable lead.
The Broncos were not done with yet though, going back-to-back before the final ten minutes and making it a ten point game.
Ben Thomas would have the last say for the Roosters though, crashing over in the final five minutes to well and truly put the game to bed.
