The Roosters have fallen 12-37 to the Sharks at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday night after a disappointing second half.
After being gifted early golden field position on the back of an error from Luke Lewis, Connor Watson scored a barging four-pointer after breaking through a couple of defenders to plant it down.
It was a tough tussle for the most part, but the Roosters would again be the next to score on the back of a clever kick from Mitchell Pearce that was snatched and planted down by Latrell Mitchell.
Just minutes later, the Sharks hit back when a kick was missed by Watson and picked up by Matt Prior to put the Sharks on the board.
It turned into a fierce battle, particularly between the the two captains after the pair found themselves in a scuffle at the back end of the first half.
The Sharks would use the fierce nature of this battle as fuel to score their second of the night, when Ben Barba found some space and bolted his way to the line untouched.
As the half time siren went off, James Maloney hit a field goal to snatch a late lead for the Sharks.
The Sharks had all the energy to start the second half, and were able to convert their energy into points through Gerard Beale on the back of a well weighted kick.
The Roosters were making some uncharacteristic errors, and the Sharks would execute on the back of them.
They scored two quick fire tries through Jason Bukuya and Paul Gallen, both barging their way over to score within minutes of each other.
Valentine Holmes scored in the corner to put it to bed for the Sharks in the dying minutes to make it a big win over the Roosters.
