Anthony Minichiello and the Roosters community team were out at Barracluff Park last Friday assisting Galilee Catholic Primary School with their weekly NRL Backyard League session.

Mini joined in with the children’s games, distributed some Roosters goodies and posed for some photos at the end.

Backyard league focuses on the development of the childrens ability to play and organise games themselves.

It teaches the students how to be co-operative and inclusive, while also getting outside and exercising.

Anthony joined the 40 students in games of touch football, which allowed them to put their new found skills to practice.

Both the boys and girls teams demonstrated their ability to work as a team and include one another in the games.

Anthony Minichiello inspires students on the Central Coast

Sydney Roosters legend and Community Ambassador Anthony Minichiello spent the day on the Central Coast on Wednesday visiting St Peters Catholic College and Terrigal High School.

Anthony spoke to the secondary school students about the importance of dreams, setting goals, work ethic, resilience, confidence, self-belief and positive relationships

As part of the assembly, the students shared their own dreams with Anthony and were able to ask questions about his pathway to being a successful NRL player, challenges on the way and life after football.

The Sydney Roosters return to the Coast next Thursday for another wave of school visit, but this time the Roosters will be targeting primary school children with a Wellbeing message.
