The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that barnstorming forward Siosiua Taukeiaho has signed a three-year extension, keeping him at the Club until the end of 2020.

Currently recovering from ACL surgery, Taukeiaho expressed his delight at extending his contract with the Tricolours.

“I’m so happy to know that I’ll continue to be part of the Roosters family for at least another four seasons,” said Taukeiaho.

“I have real trust in Robbo and have learned so much from him and the coaches over the last few years. I love the Club and we’re a tight bunch and I’m excited to know that I’ll continue to work on my game and be part of the team we have here,” he added.

Roosters Head Coach, Trent Robinson, was pleased to have Taukeiaho locked in to the Club’s long-term plans.

“Siua’s commitment to the team is tireless and he’s worked really hard to get where he is today,” said Robinson.

“He is always looking at ways to improve his game and it’s great to know that he will continue to grow and develop at our Club for at least the next four seasons,” he added.

24-year-old Taukeiaho has played 48 NRL games to date, with 47 of those with the Roosters. He made his Roosters debut against the Cowboys in the opening round of the 2015 season and went on to feature in all 27 Club matches that year.

In the representative arena, Taukeiaho made his New Zealand Kiwis debut in late 2015 and has represented Tonga on two occasions (2014-15).
