The Sydney Roosters are teaming up with local charity Our Big Kitchen to help the homeless and other people in need through creating CarePacs, as well as meals and cards of hope and encouragement.

The Sydney Roosters are donating 150 caps , scarfs and ponchos for the CarePacs, with Roosters player Kane Evans and Club mascot Rocky the Rooster also helping pack the CarePacs at the launch next Sunday 30th October at Our Big Kitchen.

The new CarePacs program will impact thousands of people who are less fortunate all over Sydney, as well as hundreds of volunteers that will be assembling the CarePacs.

It will also help people understand the complex problems facing many in society, as well as enhancing empathy and compassion for people going through hard times.

“We are fortunate to be in a position to help others and we are all about connecting with local organisations to help make a difference in the local community," said Sydney Roosters Community Manager Helen Saunders.

"We want to assist Our Big Kitchen and their work for the homeless in any way possible," she added.

If a person or company are able to donate items for the CarePacs, or are interested in booking a CarePacs program, can contact Deb Myer at Our Big kitchen on 8084-2729
