We asked Roosters fans to vote for who they think the Roosters player of the year will be in 2017, and what ensued was a two-horse race between former Jack Gibson Award winners.

After a tough 2016 season, the fans seem to agree that Mitchell Pearce is primed for a big one this upcoming NRL season.

Boyd Cordner was a close second, but Pearce sat in first place for a fair duration of the voting process.

A couple of 2016 rookies also made the top five, while Grant Garvey also made it into the top selections after a stellar season in the Holden Cup.

Thanks for voting Roosters fans and stay tuned for our next voting poll in the coming days.
