Let's take a detailed look at the Roosters pre-season fixtures with less than a month until trials are in full swing.
NRL DOWNER AUCKLAND NINES
Head Coach Trent Robinson elected to pick a young side for the NRL Auckland Nines in 2016, and though the boys were unable to make it to the next round, the young-guns showed plenty of promise in their first hit-out for the Roosters.
The nine-man format is exciting to watch for fans, and we'll look forward to watching our talent showcase their skills with a bit more space to run.
This year the Roosters will appear in the Hunua Pool alongside the Cowboys, Raiders and Eels.
It's a tough pool this year with the likes of two former Nines Champions in the Cowboys and Eels, not to mention the young talent pouring out of Canberra.

COWBOYS IN MACKAY
There were two meetings between the Roosters and the Cowboys in 2016, and both sides would claim victories on their respective home grounds.
Just six days after the conclusion of the Nines, the Roosters will travel to BB Print Stadium in Mackay for a pre-season showdown with the Cowboys.
Though the Nines will be a good test of fitness, this clash will give the Roosters a good opportunity to get a real test-run against a Premiership calibre team.

NRL ALL STARS
On February 10th, three Roosters look set to feature in the 2017 NRL All Stars clash at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle.
For the first time in his career, Roosters Captain Jake Friend is set to start for the World All Stars as Hooker, while Blake Ferguson has been re-called to the Indigenous side and Latrell Mitchell looks set to debut from the bench.
