The Roosters were on the road in Round 22 for a Sunday afternoon clash with a desperate Manly Sea Eagles outfit as they looked to improve on their impressive run leading into the post-season.

It was a tough day at Lottoland for the Roosters and it was made even tougher by a couple of players being forced from the field with injuries.

Siosiua Taukeiaho was taken from the field after just 14 minutes of play when he sustained what was feared to be a compound fracture of the finger.

After further examination from the Roosters medical staff it is confirmed that the injury is not as bad as originally thought and that Taukeiaho's finger was just dislocated.

He will be available for selection this weekend against the Melbourne Storm.

Daniel Tupou was forced from the field in the 65th minute of the game after sustaining a groin injury.

After receiving scans this afternoon, it is confirmed that it is a right groin tear that will require Tupou to undergo an intensive rehab program.

It is expected that he will be unavailable for up to six weeks while he recovers.
