Arguably the biggest nail-biter of our close games in 2017, Anzac Day was a particularly intense encounter on every Roosters fans favourite day of the year.

A full house at Allianz Stadium was the perfect setting for the Golden Point battle from two teams that were in form to start the season.

The Dragons were the close leaders at the end of the first half, before Blake Ferguson fired back with the perfect equaliser in the opening stages of the second.

That roll would continue on when Mitchell Pearce planted the ball down for a miracle try after juggling the ball while falling over, only to re-gather and score to snatch a well-earned lead.

The Dragons did well to level the scores close to the full time siren and Josh Dugan was clutch filling in for the injured Gareth Widdop, slotting a field goal from the sideline in the closing minutes.

In Golden Point, Mitchell Pearce did sensationally well to seal the victory with a memorable field goal to gift the Roosters their sixth win of the season.
