The 2013 Season is an exciting one for both Steggles and the Sydney Roosters as the Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest has hit the million dollar mark following the Round 8 match against the Penrith Panthers at Allianz Stadium.
The Roosters headed into the match requiring a six point winning margin to reach $1 million and surpassed that with the final 30-6 scoreline resulting in a $30,000 contribution to the Charity Nest. The club’s win in the Under 20s Holden Cup added a further $1,000 to the day’s tally, taking the total amount raised for the Charity Nest to $1,023,686.
Throughout the 2013 NRL season Steggles will continue to donate $1000 for every point the Roosters win by, $250 per point from the Sydney Roosters and $1000 for every Holden Cup (NYC) win.
In 2013 the Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest will include the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia, Lifestart, Children’s Health Foundation Queensland and our 2013 Charity of Choice - The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC).
Steggles and the Sydney Roosters have combined to roll out a variety of other initiatives that Roosters Members and supporters are able to contribute towards. These include the ‘Match Day Parmigiana’ - with $2 being donated back to the nest on every purchase at Easts Leagues Club, ‘Match Day Badges ‘being sold in the forecourt of all Roosters home games and the various ‘Roosters Exclusive Experiences’ being auctioned through our Online Store.
If you wish to donate to the Steggles Charity Nest contact the Club by giving us a call on (02) 8063 3800.
Steggles and the Sydney Roosters wish to thank the players, staff and Roosters Members for their contributions towards achieving this incredible result.
