One of only two men to have represented the All Blacks after first appearing for the Kiwi's in rugby league, Sonny Bill Williams is one of the most talked about athletes in the world. A two-time NRL Premiership winner and dual-international, SBW joined the Roosters in 2013 after five years away from the game playing rugby union.

Despite the time away from the thirteen-man code, Sonny took little time to slip back into the "league way" with his stellar 2013 capped off with the NRL Premiership, the Jack Gibson Medal, RLIF International Player of the Year Award and selection in New Zealand's Squad for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

A wide-running backrower with the skillset of a half, Sonny's right-edge combination with long-serving halfback Mitchell Pearce and fellow Kiwis Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was instrumental in the attacking success of the side last year.

The ultimate professional, Sonny is arguably the most dominant footballer in the world of rugby league and his re-commitment to the Club for a second season in 2014 was met widely with support from Roosters and rugby league Fans far and wide.

Away from both rugby codes, Sonny has also had six professional boxing matches. He won all six of his heavyweight bouts before suspending his boxing career to focus on playing rugby league. He was the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association (NZPBA) Heavyweight Champion and World Boxing Association (WBA) International Heavyweight Champion.

Despite bursting onto the scene in Bulldogs colours at just 18 years of age and going on to compete in three sports across four countries, Sonny is now well and truly at home in Sydney's East as a Rooster...
