Sydney Roosters player Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has taken the early guilty plea and will be unavailable for selection until Round 16.

Waerea-Hargreaves was charged with a grade 1 reckless high tackle in Monday night's win over the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval, in the 69th minute and sent from the field for the remaining 11 minutes of the match.

The early guilty plea results in a total of 563 points which translates to a five match ban and 63 carryover points for the Kiwi international.

Waerea-Hargreaves will be available for selection again for our Round 16 clash with the same side, Manly, on July 1st at Allianz Stadium.

Jake Friend was also charged after Monday night's win, with a grade one careless high tackle and has also taken the early guilty plea.

Friend, however, will be free to play in Saturday night's Round 10 clash with the Cowboys in Townsville.

Friend will also receive 56 carryover points from the charge.
