Turkey is perhaps best known for its protein richness. Skinless turkey breast provides about 34 grams of protein in average 115 gram serving and is a perfect ingredient in any athlete’s diet during training.

Turkey product can be easily substituted for other meat products in recipes to provide a much healthier, leaner and higher protein intake whether you’re an athlete in training or a family of Roosters at home.

All of our turkey recipes below are easy for you to prepare and provide a tasty meal for your family.

 

Steggles Asian Style Turkey Meatball Soup

INGREDIENTS:

500g Steggles Turkey Shortcuts Mince

14/ cup Panko breadcrumbs

2 Tblsp reduced fat milk

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 Tblsp finely grated ginger

2 Tblsp chopped coriander

1 tsp finely grated lime rind

1 x 59g egg, lightly beaten

2 Tblsp salt reduced soy sauce

6 cups reduced salt chicken stock

2 bunches baby bok choy

2 shallots, chopped

270g udon noodles, cooked

Coriander sprigs to serve

 

RECIPE:

1. In a large bowl, mix the turkey mince, breadcrumbs, milk, garlic, ginger, coriander, rind, egg and soy. Mix until well combined. Roll heaped tablespoon fulls of mixture into balls. Place on baking tray lined with baking paper. Spray lightly with olive oil cooking spray. Bake in 220C preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.

2. Simmer the stock in a large pan; add bok choy, shallots and noodles. Place turkey balls into serving bowls and spoon over soup. Garnish with coriander.

 

SERVES: 4-6
