Sydney Roosters Chairman, Mr Nick Politis AM, has today announced the appointment of Mr Joe Kelly as the Club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
“We are pleased to appoint Joe to the role of Sydney Roosters Chief Executive Officer,” said Mr Politis AM.
“Joe has over two decades’ experience in sports administration both in Australia and overseas, and brings a unique skillset to the Sydney Roosters which we are confident ensures he is the right candidate to lead our Club,” added Mr Politis AM.
Mr Kelly was most recently the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles CEO (2014-2016), and spent eight years prior to that as the South Sydney Rabbitohs Chief Financial Officer. Mr Kelly’s experience also extends to include a five-year stint with English Premier League Club Chelsea as their Head of Finance.
“It’s a privilege to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of such a proud and historic Club as the Sydney Roosters,” said Mr Kelly.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Roosters Board and staff to ensure that the Club continues to grow both on and off the field,” he added.
Mr Kelly will commence his role with the Sydney Roosters on Monday, April 10, 2017.
