On Saturday night the Eels and Cowboys will go head-to-head to decide who the Roosters will play in the Preliminary Final next Saturday night at Allianz Stadium.

It's a battle between two interesting sides in 2017, while the Parramatta Eels are playing in their first finals series since 2009, the North Queensland Cowboys are the first eighth seeded team to advance from the first round of finals since the introduction of the new finals system in 2012.

While both sides have dealt with their share of injuries this season, no team has been hit as hard as the Cowboys, with both Jonathan Thurston and power prop Matthew Scott suffering season-ending injuries early in the year.

They had the fifth seeded Cronulla Sharks to contend with in the first week of the finals and toppled the defending Premiers in extra time.

The Parramatta Eels on the other hand finished their 2017 regular season campaign in fourth position and had the tough task of facing the Melbourne Storm on their home turf last week.

While they gave the Storm a good scare, they finished up two points shy of a win to put themselves into an Elimination Final on their home ground.

Will we face Michael Morgan and the gutsy Cowboys, or Semi Radradra and the unpredictable Parramatta Eels in our Preliminary final?
