Junior League Receives Huge Boost Ahead Of 2018 Season

The Sydney Roosters are delighted to welcome ACFS Port Logistics as the inaugural Community Partner of the Sydney Roosters Junior League.

This exciting new partnership will enable the Roosters to further improve the Junior League playing experience by targeting the participation of rugby league at both club and school levels across the Eastern Suburbs.

As a result this will improve the Junior League game day experience.

Last year the Sydney Roosters introduced a new Mini League to the heart of the Eastern Suburbs which saw over 250 children participate in a rewarding competition, designed to create a positive experience for all participants.

Sydney Roosters Community Manager Helen Saunders spoke on the new partnership.

“We are committed to making a difference to the game at the grassroots level, so we are thrilled to welcome this new partnership with ACFS," she said.

“In 2017, Junior League participation across our four clubs grew by 17% and our New Mini League Competition was a huge success, and we are looking forward to building on these foundations in 2018.”

With the 2018 Junior League Season kicking off in March, the Roosters are focused on introducing the game of rugby league to primary school children, many of whom haven’t played the game.

and then providing them with information on our upcoming Come and Try Day, as well as connections at their local Junior League Club.

The Roosters NRL squad will be embarking on school visits throughout February and March to help our junior clubs with recruitment while delivering key messages around wellbeing, respect and anti-bullying.
