Captain Jake Friend was outstanding on the defensive end of the floor for the Sydney Roosters in 2018 and was in career best form during the home stretch of the season.
He was a hard worker both on and off the field as the leader of his Club and led the way on the defensive end of the field as he was the top tackler in the NRL in 2018.
If defence wins Premierships, then the Captain deserves a pat on the back for being a top contributor in what was a successful year for the Club.
