Eastern Suburbs Junior Rugby League Clubs have always punched above their weight in terms of on field success and the production of top end NRL talent.
The 2024 season was certainly a testament to that reputation with four wins from four Grand Finals qualified this season in combined competitions with Balmain, Manly and South Sydney.
Each of our three Clubs won premierships this season with Paddington Colts taking out the Under 11 and Under 15 titles while Clovelly Crocodiles won the Under 17 division and Bondi United the Open Age Silver.
In the Under 11’s, the Colts prevailed over Coogee Randwick by a converted try 18-12 at Leichardt Oval while it was a very tight affair in the Under 15’s at Redfern with the Colts again defeating Coogee Randwick 12-10.
The Bondi United Open Age Silver team prevailed 20-14 over Concord Burwood United and the Clovelly Crocodiles Under 17’s emerged victorious, defeating Mascot 36-18.
Congratulations must go to Sydney Roosters Junior Rugby League Board Chair, Bob Tate, for all of his efforts throughout the season and all other volunteer committee members who have done a brilliant job looking after the future stars of the Eastern Suburbs!
