Roosters Tackle Bullying

The Sydney Roosters Tackle Bullying program aims to empower students to stand up for themselves and other who are being bullied.

The program aims to prepare students with the tools to stand up for themselves by using the 'Tackle Bullying Hand' that features five key strategies to assist students being bullied including Stand Strong, Stay Calm, Respond Confidently, Walk Away and Report.

The program is suitable for students in Upper Primary years 5 – 6 and Lower Secondary years 7 and 8. Key messages of the program include;

  • The effects of bullying
  • Role of a bystander
  • Strategies to deal with bullying – 5 Steps to tackle bullying
