Mitchell Pearce joined the Roosters in 2006 and the next season, when just 17, he made his first grade debut. He was to go on and play 238 first grade games (seventh highest of all-time) in eleven seasons and will be remembered as one of the Roosters’ finest half backs. Pearce won the first of his three Jack Gibson Medals in 2008, a season in which he also played the first of his 19 Origin matches for New South Wales (18 whilst at the Roosters) and the first of six finals series at the Club. He played his first grand final in 2010, a year in which he won his second Jack Gibson Medal and played the final two Origin games of that series, the first two of eleven successive Origin matches for the Blues.
As half back he played a critical role in the Roosters securing the 2013 Premiership title and the 2014 World Club Championship. Pearce received his third Jack Gibson Medal in 2014. In his final season at the Club (2017) he won the Ashton-Collier Medal for Man of the Match in the Anzac Day Cup clash against the Dragons, when he kicked the winning field goal (winning the Dally M Headline Moment of the Year).
