Recovery Update

The Sydney Roosters first grade squad has returned to training following the Christmas break ahead of the 2021 NRL Telstra Premiership season.

With the exception of the 2020 State Of Origin representatives, the entire NRL squad resumed pre-season training on Monday morning.

Both Victor Radley and Sam Verrills are tracking well in their recovery from respective ACL injuries and are operating on a modified training schedule.

Centre Billy Smith has returned to full contact training following the ACL injury he sustained late in the 2020 pre-season, but has sustained a shoulder injury which will require a full reconstruction. Smith will be looking to a return mid-season in 2021.

The remaining members of the pre-season squad are training without restriction.

Victor Radley and Sam Verrills both sat down with the Roosters digital team in the off season to discuss their recovery from respective ACL injuries as they prepare to return to the field in 2021.
