Hey guys,

This is my last entry in my All Stars Diary, now that Im back here with the boys in Roosterland and involved in preparations for our first trial this weekend on the Central Coast.

My last few days in Camp were pretty special and, besides the result, it wrapped up as one of the best weeks of my career again.

On Friday night Wayne [Bennett] organised a couple of speakers for us at our team dinner, with Ben Roberts-Smith the definite highlight. He spoke to use about mateship, his experiences and just chatted in general with the whole group and it was pretty cool to be able to sit and listen to someone like him.

Game day was pretty cruisy to be honest. The Coaching Staff let us all go about our usual preparation and then when we got to the ground the mood changed a little bit once we saw and heard the crowd and knew it was game time!

To have that feeling again was special and the realization that the season is so close is getting me pumped up and even more excited than I already was, especially for Round 1 against the Bunnies at home. There are a few boys who reckon the crowd might be bigger than it was at Suncorp the other night and I hope theyre right!

The actual match wasnt my best performance, but i was happy with myself when i had ball in hand and a little bit down on my defence from the night. It was a tough match, and they played really well but it wouldve been much nicer to celebrate what was a great week with a win.

Ive got myself a tape of the game and am going to sit down and watch it with Robbo [Trent Robinson] this week, so he can show me what he thinks and we can make sure Im always improving and working out the little kinks before the season kicks off.

I hope you enjoyed hearing from me this week; its been loads of fun doing these in the arvos for all the Roosters fans. Cant wait to get started this year, now that Ive had a taste again, and looking forward to seeing you all at some games!

Lets get ready to REPRESENT!

Thats all from me,

SKD.
