NYC skipper Rhyse Martin has been called into the NRL squad for tonight's clash with Manly at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford.

Martin, who played in the Under 20s side's trial earlier this evening at Bluetongue, has been added to the 13-man bench as cover in the backrow.

Led by new skipper Anthony Minichiello and two of his four deputies in Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner, the Roosters will field 25 players for the first hit-out of 2013 against one of the NRLs benchmark sides in the Geoff Toovey coached Sea Eagles.

New recruits Sam Moa, Michael Jennings, Michael Oldfield and James Maloney will all turn out for their first appearance in the Tricolours, while former Under 20s stars Dylan Napa and Henare Wells will feature in the top grade for the first time since being promoted from the NYC at the end of the 2012 season.

The squad will travel down to the Central Coast on Friday.
