Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has spoken to Roosters.com.au about the success of last weekends trip to Woy Woy and the excitement building within the group through the arrival of former NSW Blues and Australian enforcer Luke ODonnell.

Waerea-Hargreaeves, who didnt feature in the Gosford fixture against his former club, spoke of the brotherhood thats been created by the new-look group over whats been one of the busiest off-seasons in the recent times.

The man they call JWH was among several players who didnt play on Saturday night at Bluetongue stadium, however were kept busy in and around the Woy Woy and Gosford communities over the two-day trip to the Central Coast.

"The weekend was great. It was good to mix and mingle with our juniors and their families and for them to have a game to come along and watch was a bonus for us a club as well."

The enforcer in the Roosters forward pack over the past couple of seasons, Waerea-Hargreaves will have his load lessened this season after the arrival of ODonnell earlier today and seemed excited at the prospect of playing alongside the former Kangaroo. Especially now the team has been able to grow so close.

"Ive always talked, throughout this pre-season, about how tight weve become and with the likes of Luke ODonnell joining us today thats just another bonus."

"Hell experience our brotherhood and this new, exciting culture that weve got going. Its exciting and all the boys are pretty pumped."

When asked about this weekends task of taking on the Wests Tigers, who claimed a big win over Parramatta in their trial last Saturday, the Kiwi international reiterated many of the squads sentiments that although things are looking positive theres still plenty to do.

"To get a win on the weekend was amazing for the group, so well take the positives out of that match and move forward for the Tigers game this weekend."
