Manly secured a 28-24 victory over the Roosters at Brookvale Oval.


Despite dominating for much of the match the Tricolours fell to an enthusiastic Manly side fighting for their third win of the season.


Nene McDonald kick started the scoring chiming on to the end of a crisp backline movement to put the Tricolours in front early.


A powerful effort from Willis Meehan from just meters from the line extended the lead to ten.


A quick scoot from dummy half saw the home side get to within four. Before A poor defensive read out wide gifted Manly the lead late in the first half.


The Tricolours dominated the remaining period of play but looked frustrated until Samisoni Langi edged the visitors in front, on the stroke of halftime after a solo effort from ten meters out.


Just minutes after the break Jack Siejka barged his way over the line and it looked as though the Tricolours were going to run away with it.


The next twenty minutes told the exact opposite story.


Three quick Manly tries and the home side found themselves in front by two.


Taane Milne then showed his class when he regained the lead for the visitors.


A clever dummy half run from Alex Thomas then looked to have sealed the game for the Roosters only for a knock on to be ruled.


Manly then sealed an unlikely victory when a grubber kick rebounded off a Roosters defender and luckily ended up in the hands of who scored the winner for the home side.
