It's all starting to get very real now and the excitement levels amongst the boys, the coaches and everyone here at Roosters HQ are certainly growing.

There's just a buzz about the joint that there hasn't been for a while and that's special to be a part of.

We're keeping it low key, we're keeping it simple and most importanlty we're really trying to keep it as normal as we can.

One of our biggest successes in 2013 has been the ability to prepare well for each clash, whether it be against a top four side or one at the bottom of the table - we've never tried to alter anything, unless absolutely necessary.

Routine is all a part of what we do, it has a big say on how you perform and so we need to ensure that this week - especially - we aren't looking to change up too much ahead of what is a bigger game, yes, but still 80 minutes of football like every other week.

We had a good Video session earlier today, ahead of a training run at Moore Park, and then the afternoon off.

It was good to get back out on the training field and just run out what are a few nerves and anxious feelings, but they're always gone when you get out as a group and enjoy a good session.

We welcomed Junior (Mitchell Pearce) back today after he had a little bit off a runny-nose on Monday and Tuesday, but let me tell you all right now that he'll be fine. There's nothing major there to worry about and Ju will be ready and raring to go come Sunday.

Tomorrow's a big day with training in the morning, a Fan Day down at Tumbalong Park in the afternoon and then The Footy Show tonight - which Jared is already choosing his outfit for, I can't tell you how many texts I've had asking my advice on if his new 'kicks' are going to look any good under the stage lighting!

How would I know? And, what are kicks? Anyway...

Not long now, Roosters Fans. It really is, as I said above, getting real now and getting close.

We're certainly excited though and hope you are too. Bring on Sunday!

Speak tomorrow,
