We will kick off our Premiership defence back at the same place we claimed the 2013 title, ANZ Stadium, when we face arch-rivals the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 1 on Thursday, March 6.

Our first home fixture will be in Round 2 when we host the Parramatta Eels at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, March 15, followed by our first trip to Suncorp Stadium in three years in Round 3 when we take on the Broncos in Brisbane.

A point that COO Commercial, Ted Helliar, was overly pleased about when he caught up with Roosters.com.au following this mornings announcement.

We're delighted to inform our Members and Fans that we'll be playing out of Queensland on two occasions in 2014, Round 3 v the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium and Round 10 vs the Cowboys in Townsville., Helliar said.

We have a huge following in Queensland and having not played a Club fixture at Suncorp since 2010, it's fantastic to be able to bring the Tricolours back to Brisbane and engage with our Fans up north.

It's been three seasons since we played the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium and the Club will have plenty on offer for Members around the Round 3 fixture, including a meet and greet with the Team and dedicated Roosters Bays in the venue for the match.

It will be just a month before the Grand Final replay, at Allianz Stadium, in Round 4.

Back home another huge fixture that the rugby league world will be watching is undoubtedly our Grand Final replay against the Sea Eagles on 28 March at Allianz Stadium, Helliar said.

Another highlight for the Roosters Fans is the close rivalry with the Bulldogs and in Round 5 we will host the Dogs in a celebration of the 1970s rivalry between the two proud Clubs.

In Round 5 Allianz will again be a buzz as we host the Bulldogs to open Heritage Round. The night will be a 40 year anniversary of the 1974 GF in which the Roosters defeated Canterbury 19-4 and will be a huge celebration including former players in a throw back celebration to a golden era here in the 70s, Helliar said.

In general, Helliar was pleased with the outcome of the 2014 Draw.

The Draw for us is somewhat flipped around from 2013, with last season being a lot more of a heavy on home games in the early rounds than the season ahead.

Of our 20 games scheduled we will have 10 on Channel Nine, which is well up on last season and a compliment to the success we achieved in 2013.

From a Football Department point-of-view, the Draw is a positive one in terms of not too many short turn arounds with no Monday night fixtures scheduled as yet in the 20 announced this morning.

There is a little bit more travel than last season, with four plane trips as opposed to the two last season, however these are spread out quite well. Head Coach Trent Robinson however will go into more detail surrounding the views of the Football Department later today.

And, without a doubt, what a way to finish the season hosting our biggest rivals Souths at our house Allianz Stadium in which we expect nothing less than a sell-out.
