Holden Cup pairing Nene Macdonald and Willis Meehan have today been named as part of the Junior Kangaroos Squad to face the Junior Kiwis on 18 October at Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland.

Two key figures in Adam Hartigan's Holden Cup Squad throughout the 2014 campaign, the duo will now join some of Australia's brightest young rugby league talent in a bid to be a part of the side that faces off with their Kiwi counterparts in the annual battle.

Macdonald will add to what has been an already impressive, breakthrough season for the speedster after taking part in the Rugby League World Cup not twelve months ago for PNG, gaining selection in the QLD U20s side and making his NRL debut before going on to play seven games in the top grade.

Meehan will also be adding to an already impressive list of honours after also making his NRL debut earlier in 2014, against the Knights in Round 14.

In addition, the pair were also two of three Roosters named in this year's Holden Cup Team of the Year alongside Brendan Elliot.
