Before you start any rumours, no we haven't signed former NFL star Terrell Owens for Season 2015... to a playing contract.

But, the six-time Pro Bowl selection and holder of numerous NFL records has signed on as a Rooster of a different sort after meeting former Captain Anthony Minichiello and current stars Michael Jennings and Shaun Kenny-Dowall.

In Sydney for a host of appearances, Owens was the special guest at a lunch the Roosters attended last Friday.

And, as a special gift on behalf of the Club, Owens was presented with his very own 2015 Sydney Roosters jersey (pictured) and also offered a Membership for the year ahead.

Something Kenny-Dowall, a long-time Owens and NFL fan, was extremely excited to do.

"I love my NFL, well I love all sport, but to even meet such a legend of such a big sport was amazing," Kenny-Dowall said.

"I'm probably more excited though to say that he's a Member of the Club I play for, you really don't get to say that too much so I'm going to enjoy this for as long as I can."

Fitting really that the trio are arguably three of the most profilic outside backs the Club has ever seen and Owens - a wide receiver by trade - was keen to chat about the similarities between our own and himself.

"He was keen as to get to know our game and what kind of similarities we and the NFL share and it was really cool to be able to hand him that jersey, seeing his famous name and number on the back of our famous Tricolours strip," Kenny-Dowall added.
