The Sydney Roosters NYC side has gone down to the Brisbane Broncos 48-6 at Suncorp Stadium.

The Roosters scored just the one try to the Broncos nine.

Brisbane went into half time leading 26-0 after a comprehensive display in the first 40.

The home side opened the scoring on the night, following a dropped high bomb by Latrell Mitchell. The Broncos fullback took advantage of the situation and scored with the Broncs leasing 6-0 after three minutes of play.

Four minutes later, Broncos five-eighth Jayden Nikorima stepped through the line and raced away to score a solo try. A successful conversion took the Broncos lead to 12-0 after eight minutes.

The Broncos five-eighth was in the thick of things on the very next play, popping a short ball for his back-rower Alex Barr to crash over the chalk.

The Broncos led18 points to nil lead after only 12 minutes and crossed for their fourth try in the 22ndminute.

Latrell Mitchell made a try-saving tackle on his opposing number after Broncos fullback Paul Byrnes broke the line.

The Roosters had their first opportunity of the contest via a penalty on the 20 metre line but the Tricolours lost the ball in possession.

The Broncos crashed over for another try in the 30th minute and the Roosters deficit extended to 26-0.

The Roosters finally had another set on the Brisbane line when Jackson Hastings trapped Broncos winger Jonus Pearson in-goal via a grubber kick.

Their raid came undone when skipper Paul Momirovski dropped the ball cold clear in space in the 36 minute.

The Roosters went into the sheds down 26-0. 

The Roosters had to be next to score and just seven minutes in to the second half, they crossed through winger Charlie Taylor.  Their set play down the right worked well as the winger crossed the line in the corner untouched.

Jackson Hastings was successful in his attempt from out wide to make the scores 26-6 after 48 minutes.

Brisbane had a chance to hit back immediately when Roosters’ interchange forward Samet Erten lost the ball coming out of his line.

The Broncos failed to take any advantage from the set and lost momentum on the last play forcing a rushed kick from their halfback, Ash Taylor.

Aided by a penalty to put the up-field Brisbane back-rower Jaydn S’ua offloaded in traffic close to the line for fullback Paul Byrnes to dart over for a try. 

The Broncos halfback extended the lead out to 32-6 with his kick at goal in the 59th minute.

Roosters fullback Latrell Mitchell saved two tries in consecutive sets on the line from Jai Arrow and Jayden Nikorima.

A mistake from the Roosters presented the Broncos with a chance to seal the game inside the final 20 minutes.

Broncos interchange player Kalolo Saitaua blew the Roosters defence away from dummy half crashing over for a solo try and with 16 minutes remaining, the Roosters trailed 38-6.

The Roosters conceded two more tries before full-time, with the Broncos scoring a 42-point margin win over the Under 20s Tricolours side.
