As a result of an incident on Sunday, 5 July at Marrickville Oval involving Bondi United Under 9 Green Team, the Bondi United executive along with two team officials were asked to attend the Souths Juniors Conduct Panel to answer charges of misconduct.
The findings from the panel were that one team official has been suspended from holding any position in any rugby league club for a period of no less than three years.
The second team official who appeared before the panel was cleared of breaching the code of conduct on this occasion, but was reminded of the responsibilities of officials involved in the junior league.
The Bondi United Club would like to express their most sincere apologies to the young referee who was involved in the incident. The Club wishes him well in the future and looks forward to his making a return to rugby league.
The Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club does not condone any form of anti-social behaviour that goes against the spirit of our game and welcomes the findings of the South Sydney District Junior Rugby Football League.
