After getting selected for the All Stars clash late last year, the same duo has received the call-up to join Laurie Daley's Emerging Blues Squad.

Now with a full season under his belt, Blake Ferguson is well and truly in the mix to play State of Origin football in 2016, with the talented and versatile backline sensation set for another big year ahead.

Kane Evans played a full season of first grade with the Roosters in 2015, and the rewards have been in big bunches.

He made plenty of headlines, plenty of big tackles and some damaging runs to push himself into Origin contention in 2016.

Though this doesn't guarantee selection in the highly anticipated Origin period, it is a very positive step forward for the pair.
