It would be Round 9 that we got our first glimpse of Mitchell Pearce in 2016, and his timely return reminded Roosters fans of just what the halfback brings to the table.
He would only appear 12 times in 2016, with suspension and injury keeping him from playing a full season of NRL football.
In his 12 games though, he had 12 try assists to go with 793 running metres, showing that his hunger to perform and win were still very much on display.
Though it was a difficult season for the young Roosters, Mitchell Pearce showed his skills as a leader on the field and will look towards a big year in 2017.
