The Roosters were up bright and early on Thursday morning to get a flight out to New Zealand ahead of the NRL Downer Auckland Nines on Saturday.

Before the Friday afternoon Fan Day and the competition kicks off on Saturday, the boys took some time out on the way to the hotel to visit a Junior Club that holds plenty of importance to one member of the NRL squad.

Fresh off the flight, the boys headed to the home of the Pakuranga Jaguars where Isaac Liu played in his young years as a boy growing up in New Zealand.

They were greeted on arrival by Liu's Coach when he was a small boy, who insisted that he taught Isaac everything that he now knows as a professional footballer.

The welcome from the locals was incredibly warm, as they sung beautiful local music aswell as performing a powerful haka.

After a quick meal to re-gain some energy, it was straight out to the field for activities with the local Juniors.

There was plenty of fun had by all over a big day, and an important afternoon for Isaac to be able to re-visit his football roots.

The boys headed home after the visit for a team meal and an early night ahead of a massive afternoon on Friday.
