The Sydney Roosters are excited to be bringing Rugby League back to South Australia in Round 16 of the NRL Telstra Premiership when they take on fierce rivals the Melbourne Storm at Adelaide Oval, 7.00pm Saturday, 24 June.

The match offers Members and Fans a chance to see some of the game’s biggest names in action, from Roosters captains Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner, enforcer Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Storm stars Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater.

Sydney Roosters captain, Jake Friend, says that all the players are looking forward to playing at Adelaide Oval.

“For many of us, it will be our first visit to Adelaide,” he says.

“It will also be the first time any of us have played in Adelaide, and the chance to play at such an iconic ground in front of a new audience is something we’re all really excited about.

“It’s a game none of us will want to miss, especially as we’re up against the Melbourne Strom, who are always one of the competition heavyweights. I’m sure that the fans that head out to the game won’t be disappointed.”

This game will be an opportunity for the community in Adelaide to see some of the game’s elite players, and to showcase the game to a growing Rugby League fan base. Members and Fans will also have an opportunity to engage with the players of the Sydney Roosters and meet members of the team in the lead-up to the game with an open training session to be held while in Adelaide.

Whether you live locally and want to attend your first Rugby League match or are a Sydney Roosters Member or Fan, this game is not to be missed. Interstate travelers can play, stay and see all that South Australia has to offer in 48 hours.
