The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that Vocational Education and Training organisation, BCA National Training Group, have joined the Club as an Official Partner and Education Provider for 2018.

BCA National is a registered training organisation offering nationally recognised courses in business, community services, conservation and land management, construction, education, finance, governance, training and assessment.

A new offering in 2018 is the Academy of Sport powered by BCA National, which delivers sports training nationwide and offers flexible online training supported by face-to-face workshops.

As part of the agreement, BCA National will be working with the Sydney Roosters to identify opportunities for the playing group to engage in the courses offered by BCA National and prepare the players for life after football.

Bruce Callaghan, Chairman of the Board of BCA national said that the partnership was a good example of the way sporting clubs and businesses can work with educators to develop industry skills for the future.

“Our partnership means that young people who are affiliated with the Roosters can take a course that will equip them to work in the sport and recreation industry," he said

"Because the courses link directly with universities, students can develop course credits with Universities while studying in an environment that they enjoy,” he added.

Sydney Roosters CEO, Joe Kelly was equally enthusiastic about the potential of the partnership and said the importance of planning for the future cannot be underestimated.

“At the Roosters, we pride ourselves on the opportunities we provide to our playing group and staff to engage in further education and professional development.

"This new partnership with BCA National is an exciting step and supports our holistic approach to player development.”
