On the 20th January, the Sydney Roosters kicked off what’s shaping up to be one of the more exciting seasons in recent memory with the first Members event of the year, the Members Summer BBQ.
Some warm weather at Burrows Park in Clovelly saw a terrific number of passionate Members turn out to meet the playing squad for the first time in 2018.
With face painting, jumping castles, free popcorn, a cheer clinic and the opportunity to receive autographs from the 2018 playing squad, there was plenty going on to welcome Members back into the new year.
All Members that attended on the day were entered in the draw to win our Lucky Door prize.

The BBQ itself was taking gold coin donations to raise money for our Charity Partner, the Steggles Charity Nest.
The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest initiative was conceived in 2010 as part of the Club’s agreement with our Major Partner Steggles.
The Charity supports Lifestart, Children's Hospital Foundation Queensland, Children's Cancer Institute Australia and the Roosters Outreach program.
In total, over $530 in gold coins were raised in an outstanding display of community support.
Be sure to look out for the 50-50 team raffle at every Roosters home game throughout 2018 to help support children's charities.
Out of the total pool, 50% goes to the winner and 50% is donated to the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest.
