Ahead of Round 1 this Saturday afternoon at ANZ Stadium, Captain Jake Friend fronted the media to talk all things Wests Tigers.
He touched on a wide range of topics, including the combinations he's been working on with two of the new members of the squad.
Friend has been through plenty of pre-seasons, but he is more than happy with the preparation his side has had ahead of Round 1.
"We’ve had months of training, and we’ll be fine come Saturday," he said with plenty of confidence.
When it comes to how different his game will be in 2018, the Captain says that it's business as usual.
"My role is pretty well the same.
"I’ve just got to feed him the ball when he wants it, give it to him clean and hopefully I can strike up a few combos with him and Teddy around the ruck."
The squad has had nothing but good things to say about Cooper Cronk throughout the pre-season, and you won't hear much different from Friend.
"It’s pretty easy working with Cooper.
"He tells you what he wants, so it’s been a pretty smooth transition."
