Last Time We Met The Sea Eagles

The Last Time We Met The Sea Eagles was in the pre-season, where a bizarre start saw the Roosters band together for a big finish on the Central Coast.

Last Time We Met The Sea Eagles

It was the first time that new recruits Cooper Cronk and James Tedesco appeared in the Tricolours which had fans excited at the prospect of a new-look Roosters spine.

As far as learning curves are concerned, the Roosters were faced with an early challenge when the Sea Eagles ran in three unanswered tries in the opening twenty minutes.

The boys did well to pull it together quickly though, scoring their first points on the back of a bizarre set that saw Latrell Mitchell run away from Jorge Taufua after Daly Cherry-Evans made a break on the other end of the field.

Captain Jake Friend ran in to put his side back into the contest only for the Sea Eagles to hit back through Tom Trbojevic on the left edge.

It was no time to say die though as Latrell Mitchell forced his way over the line with brute force while carrying three defenders on his back.

Back-to-back tries to James Tedesco to kick off the second half would see the Roosters in front and carrying all the momentum.

Akuila Uate scored just shy of full time, but a missed conversion would see the Roosters come away with a two point victory.
