July Holiday Camps a Hit!

The July school holidays have wrapped up, bringing to a close the Sydney Roosters Super Awesome Kids Camps!

Over 200 energetic kids took part in the camps in both the Eastern Suburbs and on the Central Coast.

The camps were full of fun, energy and new friendships and there were many memorable highlights with lots of activities to challenge the kids both physically and mentally.

Roosters players Ryan Matterson, Bernie Lewis, Simaima Taufa, Zane Tetavano and Matt Ikuvalu were on hand to run through fun rugby league drills and speak to the kids about being an NRL player.

Rocky the Rooster was a big hit as always, and the Rooster Girls were on hand to teach dance routines in the popular Move & Groove Camps.

The kids got the chance to see where their Roosters heroes prepare on game day with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Allianz Stadium change rooms.

Sydney Roosters Community Manager Catherine Dawson said the School Holiday camps were a great success!

"Everyone had such a great time," Catherine said.

"There were so many things to do, and the players had a great time spending time with the kids. It was a really happy environment with lots of great energy and smiles!"

Catherine wanted to thank everyone who made the camps possible.

"A big thanks to the NRL Development Officers for helping run the football clinics, and a huge thank you goes out to the parents for bringing their kids along to the camps, we always enjoy having them and we hope they all got some special memories to take away from the day!

"We can't wait to see everyone back at our next Holiday camps."
Zane Tetavano said he is happy the camps were able to be held on the Central Coast.

"We love getting up here to the Central Coast and seeing the kids, there are lots of loyal Roosters fans here so it feels good to see them and give back."

"I love playing footy with the kids throughout the day, it reminds me of a time when I feel in love with the game."

Simaima Taufa from the Sydney Roosters Women's team was happy to take part in her first Holiday camp.

"It was awesome to kick the ball around with the little ones, the kids have so much energy and it was a great turn out on a Sunny Winters Day!

I definitely enjoyed my first ever Sydney Roosters Holiday Camps and I can't wait to get involved again in October!"

Children who participated in Move & Groove Camps will perform at half time in front of thousands of

Roosters fans when the Roosters take on St George for the final Dance Spectacular of the season!
